Drumming 4 Education is tailored specifically for students. We have a dedicated team of musicians who have a wealth of experience working with students of all ages and musical ability.

Our aim is to create an understanding of the vast range of musical influences throughout the world. We show students just how much fun music can be in an interactive and hands on environment.

D4E Workshops

Drumming 4 Education provide inspirational workshops for students of all ages. We work closely and patiently with groups of students to build their confidence and understanding of different cultural rhythms and musical styles.

Our D4E workshops are a great hands-on, interactive learning experience and have been welcomed at many Schools, Colleges and Universities throughout the UK

Activities we provide

Educational Workshops

Drumming 4 Business provides a variety of different workshop formats to ensure your company/organization or School will be catered for in the best possible way.
D4B provides the best musicians, dancers + visual artists!
Brazilian rhythms provided: Samba , Samba Reggae, Baiao, Maracatu, Maculele, Funk, Coco, Bossa Nova, Capoeira, Afoxe, etc,...

Standard workshop

This will include the following Samba equipment;

• Surdos
• Tamborins
• Agogos
• Shakers

And will consist of 3 X 1 hour sessions.

Premium workshop

This will include all the equipment of the the standard;

• Surdos
• Tamborins
• Agogos
• Shakers

Together with the following additional instruments;

• Timbaus
• Repiniques

And will consist of 3 X 1 hour sessions + demonstration
1 Musician assistant

Extravaganza workshop

The extravaganza workshop includes all the equipment from the Premium workshop;

• Surdos
• Tamborins
• Agogos
• Shakers
• Timbaus
• Repiniques

Together with a variety of Brazilian hand crafted instruments
eg: Berimbau, Pandeiro, Effects
+ Dance Samba Reggae class for all
+ Outline about Brazilian rain forest Amazon, Brazil 1500 discovery,....
+ Recycling issues + Introduction of how to make your own drum.
This will consist of 3 x 1 hour sessions
1 Show to the whole school
1 Musician assistant
Workshop show will also include Trumpet, Bass, Guitar etc,...

Costume Making

-Back packs

The back packs are very colourful and vibrant accessories. They are large and small scale costumes made out of giant feathers, glitter, wire - Rio de Janeiro Carnival style!!!

-Head Dressing

The head outfit is ideal for Carnival processions being very colourful and flamboyant.

Samba Dance

The students will learn authentic Brazilian dances, moves and choreography.
Contemporary Dance Brazilian Moves
Brazilian dance in a contemporary style + loads of expressions! Very different to traditional samba.

Capoeira

This is a Brazilian martial art and dance with acrobatics movements. Good exercise for your body and
mind!! Fun show!

Singing

The students will be learning a series of songs used in the streets of the Brazilian Carnival.

Instrument Making (Recycle)

The idea is to recycle and reuse! Learn how to make your own drum!

Make Up

To make the Carnival almost complete our make up artist will make your face shine for the Carnival!

Banner Makers / T-shirt printing

Banners with phrases will cheer the crowd up! Also gives the audience information.

Jewelry Making

Jewelry made out of cardboard, colourful bits, Feathers, Stars, Shapes etc,...Very important to the carnival.
The School can choose a theme eg: Amazon, Indigenous, Urban, Beach, Africa etc,...
And a colour scheme - Combine two or three of your favourite colours!
Some materials are provided for the activities including CRB + Public Liability.
